Jan Madhyam is emerging as a van guard of the indigenous communities. Jan Madhyam is working on Jharkhand’s culture, societal consciousness and history. Jan Madhyam has been formed as a trust recently but for the past two years has been working actively on the history, culture and different questions of society in Jharkhand as an intellectual activist.

Research, campaigns and publication-training are the major activities of Jan Madhyam. It believes that it is only with community processes and the leadership of the marginalized that targets can be achieved. In the marginalized communities, Jan Madhyam tries to promote development of writing skills, spread of cultural consciousness and development of sub-altern research processes. Jan Madhyam is also engaged in the processes of media and is using the space to develop and publicise the unknown facets of Jharkhand.
